A better thing

And when the world is new again
And the children of the King
Are ancient in their youth again
Maybe it's a better thing
To be more than merely innocent
But to be broken, then redeemed by love
~Andrew Peterson
Yes, I think so. If the Fall hadn't happened, everything would be good.
But what will be will be even better.

Here's the song:

Excellent lyrics - I feel it could have done with a bit more melody to go with it but that's just me.

As for the quote - yes, absolutely! But is that not sort of what you would argue against - that the fall was for the greater good and therefore the greater glory of God?

I agree on the melody. I like his songs but occassionally they can get a littlr dreich in places. Definitely on the melancholy side.

I'm not sure what you mean in the second bit? Whatever happens, however bad, comes under the category of "you meant it for evil but God meant it for good". I don't know how that works, but I know God is in control of everything. But not in the simplistic way some calvinists seem to think.
