Spinach melt

I had this for lunch today.

You will need:
  • Bread (I used Hovis granary wholemeal)
  • Frozen chopped spinach (a couple of lumps of Sainsbury's spinach was about right)
  • Cheese
  • Pepper
  • Lea & Perrins (other Worcestershire sauces are available)
What to do:
  1. Toast the bread on one side.
  2. Meanwhile, microwave the spinach uncovered for a couple of minutes. No need to drain.
  3. Add pepper and Lea & Perrins, and mix.
  4. Spread spinach on uncooked side of bread and add cheese.
  5. Toast until cheese melts.
  6. Yum.

Yum indeed, just had it for lunch. Husband however thinks it is just another ploy to feed him spinach.

No, sorry. Can't for the life of me see why you would come up with that recipe, Kirsty and, even worse, try it yourself, Susan.

Bacon roll rules the day. Tomato ketchup ticks the healthy box.
